This was an absolute CORKER!!
Jodie and Sean pulled off an amazing surprise wedding switcheroo!
First thing’s first… I’m terrible at keeping secrets. When Jodie and Sean got in touch and asked me to film their secret wedding (which doubled as an engagement party… I’ll explain later!) at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel I was immediately excited to get involved… But me oh my I spent months feeling like a sort of Wedding Videographer version of Dick Dastardly.
Absolutely terrified I was going to tell someone who happened to be a mutual friend! Alas… It all went off without a hitch! PHEW!
Here’s the scoop…
Basically Jodie and Sean got engaged mid way through 2021… But the sneaky devils never told their friends about it until December and by that point the wheels were already in motion for a surprise wedding day.
Their friends and family gathered in the Aberdeen Altens Hotel in March 2022 thinking that they were attending a surprise engagement party for Jodie and Sean… Only to be surprised themselves when these legends entered the room already hitched after getting married in secret earlier the same day.
I LOVED IT!!
Such a lovely way to make the day personal and put your own spin on tradition!
We even had time to nip down to Cove Bay for an awesome wee video/photo shoot.
So much congratulations to Jodie and Sean! I absolutely loved being your wedding videographer! Thank you very much for having me!!
