DAMN, I LOVE A GOOD BARN WEDDING!!

Mandy and Scott just absolutely knocked this one out of the park!

I don’t tend to venture too far from Aberdeen to film weddings these days so whenever I do there’s always a good reason… And when an awesome couple get in touch and ask if I’ll make the trip down from Aberdeen to be their wedding videographer for their super unique barn wedding in autumn, in St Andrews… That seems like a pretty damn good reason to me!!

Okay, full disclosure… This one wasn’t originally planned for autumn but in the end September was epic! It always is. Autumn weddings never fail to be a pleasure to film! It’s just such a nice time of year for a videographer because the natural light is usually stunning! This is actually why my wife and I also chose to have an autumn wedding back in 2020! So there you go… Autumn is officially Videographer endorsed!

Mandy and Scott got one of those days where the weather was perfect. Glorious sunshine through the day (but without it getting really sweaty hot) and a nice cool evening (but without it getting proper baltic) with an awesome coastal sunset so we could get out after dinner for some lovely video footage.

Kinkell Byre is such a cool wee venue as well. Super rustic and atmospheric with the ideal opportunity for brides and grooms to put the own spin on the decor. For a wedding videographer it offers the perfect excuse to get a little creative and have some fun with the lighting (and also the perfect excuse to get out of Aberdeen for the day).

But this wedding was genuinely lovely. Some of the sweetest handwritten readings I’ve ever witnessed dating the ceremony, loads of nice chilled music throughout the day and a banger of a celebration at night!

Mandy and Scott made this one their own and looked cool AF doing it!!
